Inspiration: Gabriela Alatorre

One of my favorite photographers of late, Gabriela Alatorre, takes pictures that seemingly rival painted masterworks.  Somehow there is an intimacy and warmth captured in her photos that transcends what the camera is often capable of.  The soft rich colors and precision tonal treatments she uses are truly a pleasure to behold, and along with her fantastic sense of composition you can see why she could make even the most adept oil painters jealous.  The following is a sampling of images from her “Muses,” collection.  Please feel free to check out more of her work here… and see the rest of the Muses series by clicking on any of the images below.
